Home Theater Best Seats

What at one time was attic, had been converted into a temperature-controlled  room for storage or with a stretch of imagination a spare bedroom.   The Buckingham Group was given the task of creating a home theater for our high-tech client who had already ordered six custom reclining leather theater seats. To accommodate these,  we constructed tiered viewing platforms for seating complete with LED safety step lights. A  Lutron lighting control system was integrated into the audio video system for convenience . A wet bar outfitted with a beverage sink, wine glass storage,  granite countertop and wine refrigerator created a beverage center for the homeowner and his guests’ libations.  A Faux Leather finish was applied to the walls and luxury, dense pile carpeting installed on the stairs, platform and floor of the room. A custom audio video system was then installed by the Owner creating a compact home theater for both he and his guests  enjoyment.

Theater, Media Room & Library

We had completed multiple design build remodels in the Owner’s previous home. When he purchased a new and larger home he contacted us for the remodel of his new home.  As a technophile his priority was to create a home theater from the existing game room.  To do so, we added tiered seating and automated black out curtains. We then modified a group of cabinets on the wall opposite the seating so that it could accommodate  a 98” flat screen TV.  The multipurpose room can know function as  a library, home theater, game room or a room to simply relax in.

“As a component of our Outdoor Living addition, we had you design and construct  a game room.  Your assignment was to design a room that would accommodate a variety of games for family and friends who had a variety of interests.  Included were  a billiards table, shuffleboard, video games and card tables. Although not asked for, its design and location allows it to work as a multi-functional space as it adjoins the outdoor patio and kitchen at one end and provides direct access to the guest suite at the other.   When large groups gather in the outdoor patio the overflow seating at the game room card tables easily accommodates them. One of the unique features that you provided was the exhaust system which is designed to evacuate cigar smoke.  Independent of the type of project we have asked  you to design and build, they have  always been functionally  on target and completed within the given time frame and budget.  We highly recommend The Buckingham Group for anyone’s remodeling requirements.” – K & V
